6 Life Hacks

These are life hacks I found in my day to day life, not just regurgitated ones from other websites.  These are original ideas, buds!

1. Huff on candles to blow them out--you'll get air over a wider area than more precise blowing.  This is nice for scented room candles because you won't spray wax, and for birthday candles you'll be able to get more in one huff (though it's a little less sanitary).

2. Braid your hair about a quarter of the way down before putting in overnight curlers to get tighter, easier curls.  Each third of the braid will curl individually rather than having to put in three separate curlers.

3. Next time you have the stomach flu, eat a food that you really love but is very horrible for you.  If the taste of eating that food with stomach-flu mouth doesn't make you hate it forever, it's reappearance later in the day just might free you from consuming that food for the rest of your life.

4. Use chocolate flavoring syrup instead of chocolate sauce in ice cream--it's much more flavorful so you don't have to use as much which means saving money, and it's healthier for you.

5. Use a large banana to cup your phone and prop it up.  If you have the right size it will perfectly support your phone at any angle.

6. When watching a YouTube video on your phone, let it fall into landscape mode and then turn it into portrait mode with the camera toward the ground.  This will let you keep your phone in landscape mode without it automatically switching, meaning you can watch a video while lying on your side.  It's impossible to lock iPhones in landscape mode as far as I know.
