All The Light We Cannot See

I just finished reading All the Light We Cannot See, and in my opinion it is a stellar story.  I think Bishop Robert Barron has a great review of it, so I am going to go ahead and refer y'all to him.  Have you read it before?  Let's chat about it!

Hope you enjoy Bishop Barron's review!!

  1. Ooh, I saw this one on your to-reads and was looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I really liked this book too. The writing style was delicious--although hard to read sometimes--and the imagery, especially of the scenes in Germany, was beautiful. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it too. :)

Bishop Barron's awesome! I was fortunate enough to be at World Youth Day and see him give a talk at adoration. Such an inspiring person, and it's cool that he reviews popular media like this book.

As a musician, what did you think about the way music was used in the story?

    1. Oh lucky!!! I would love to hear him speak.

I really appreciated what a major aspect and symbol music was, and I personally am a huge fan of Clair de Lune, one of the most beautiful piano pieces I have heard.

I heard that the audio book version of this plays the full piece at the end, which I think is a sweet idea. *Sigh* now I must go listen to some Debussy ;)
